On April 5th, 2022 our President, Alan, had a successful quadruple bypass procedure. He had been experiencing severe back cramping for the two weeks leading up to this event and had seen his primary care doctor who determined his condition was likely a pinched nerve as a result of the motocross activities that he loves. He displayed none of the traditional symptoms and all of his test results showed no sign of any cardiac issues. Despite that evidence Alan decided to go to the emergency room on April 2nd.
Super long story short: The procedure was textbook and his physical condition otherwise is excellent. This was a case of family genetics. Alan was released to go home April 9th to rest and recoup without dietary or activity limitations; aside from rehabilitation efforts. To date he has exceeded all recovery benchmarks and is looking forward to returning to work as soon as possible, which we anticipate will be late May.
Alan and his family have been completely blown away by the enormous amount of love, prayers and support. The team here at SPG greatly misses him and we look forward to his return.
